Does it hurt?
No! You can't even feel it. Our Laser tag guns fire a harmless Infra Red beam - the same as a TV remote control.
What should I bring with me on the day?
Players should wear old, comfortable clothing (Younger players are advised to wear an old hoddie) and may also want to bring a change of clothes for the conclusion of the game. Most players wear old trainers but people who may require more ankle support may choose to wear boots. You may also want to bring some money for purchasing refreshments (we accept cash and credit/debit cards verified by PIN only).
What is the minimum age?
The minimum age to play our Laser tag site is 7 years old. The equipment and level of supervision provided by Manchester Laser Tag makes the game safe for any age of player - so it's not the 'danger' involved that determines our age limit - rather the fact the weight of the equipment. Also we want players to enjoy the experience, not get removed from the game. Even adults find the hairs on the back of their necks standing-up when a wave of 'enemy' players surges towards them, guns blazing. Please call Manchester Laser Tag if you would like to view one of our games in action, before you decide if the activity is suitable for you. Groups with older players may be interested in our Paintball games.
What food and drink is available at the centre?
We have Tea and coffee, cold drinks, chocolate and chrisps available from our on-site snack shop, local news agent prices (this is not the cinema). McDonalds and Subway are 2 minutes drive away (5 or 10 min walk).

What happens on the day?
On arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will check you in, you will be kitted up with all the gear needed for the day and then your groupwill be divided into two teams wearing different lightweight flak jackets, either desert camoflauge or British camoflage. The Laser Tag marshal will issue a quick briefing and then the first laser quest will begin.
How many players do I need to bring?
For weekend games, there is a minimum of 6 players. For weekday games, there is a minimum of 10 players. If you have less then this, give us a call on 0161 626 2642 - we might be able to mix your group in with another!
What if I have more than 12 players?
We can only play 12 players in the arena at once, however it is common to play 3 teams on a rotation basis i.e one team spectating. This works with up to 18 players. We have done this for Scout group activities on many occasions. Of course we extend the session time to cater for the extra number of players.
If you have more than 18 players we would recommend coming as two separate parties or if all participants are at least 11 years old you may be interested in our paintball events.
Will my child be playing with adults?
Not unless they are part of your group, as we only offer private parties! Contact us to arrange a private Laser tag game.
I'm not sure how many players I have, but I want to book now so that I don't miss out on the date I want. What should I do?
You can make your booking now for the players that you have confirmed, as long as you meet minimum requirements. You can then add additional players onto your booking up until a few days before your event, if we have the equipment available.
What do I do if I get lost trying to find Manchester Laser Tag?
To avoid getting lost we suggest you make sure all drivers in your group print the directions from the website and take these with them. Our directions are for guidance only, we recommend using a road map for more precise directions. If you do have trouble finding the centre, call us as soon as you are unsure, not 30 minutes after you got lost!
If you have come via the M60 and driven more than 2 minutes after leaving the motorway you are lost, as we are literally two turns and half a mile from the M60 junction 21.
Please note: If you think you may have trouble finding us please call us in advance of you arrival time so we can assist you, as any late arrivals will usually not be able to participate and will lose their deposit. 0161 626 2642.
What happens if it rains?
Nothing we are indoors and not affected by any British weather. Please bear in mind the cold, rain and mud you will encounter at outdoor lasertag sites are free of charge!
What happens if a player does not turn up on the day if I have already paid for them?
In the interest of all concerned we do not offer refunds of any deposits. If we did, the deposit becomes pointless and the number of no-shows on the day would dramatically rise which would jepordise the long term future of the lasertag site and ruin the experience for everbody on the day, due to lack of players.
